Hello all,
A couple of weeks ago my husband and I decided to move to England.
"England??" you may say. Yes, England. I'm still realizing it myself.
As some of you may know, my husband is in the Air Force. He received orders a couple of weeks ago that he will be stationed at one of the Royal Air Force Bases in England. We'll be moving in the Spring.
How exciting is that!? So far I've compiled the following list of things I must do in England/Europe:
- Try real fish and chips
- Visit one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants in London
- Watch Doctor Who on local TV
- Visit France
- Visit my Grandma's hometown in Germany (ish)
- Visit Germany for Oktoberfest (even though I don't like beer or most German foods)
- Visit at least one castle
- See the Westminster Abbey
- See Big Ben
- Visit Stonehenge
- Have proper tea
- Watch a real football game
- Ride on a double-decker bus
- Make lots of my Sherlock, Doctor Who, LOTR, and Harry Potter plushies and sell them at a local craft fair
I'm sure I'll find more to do once there.
What does this mean for my business, Drowsy Aurora? It means that I'll need to shut down for a month or two in order to move. After I've set up my studio in England, I'll update my Etsy shop--shipping prices, location, and so forth--to reflect my new location. I hope you'll join me in this journey!
